Worlds Output of Soap
Figures recently published show that the world production of soap is on the increase. Of tho 4,700,00 tons produced in 1932, Europe manufactured 2,500,00 tons, the United .States 1,800,000 tons, Africa and Asia 300,000 tons conjointly, and Australia and New /ionland 70,000 tons. Tho cleanest nation statistically, is America, which leads tho world with a consumption of 11.5 kilos of soap per head a year. Then follow the Netherlands, 11.1; Denmark, 10; Groat Britain, 9; Australia, 8.7; France, 8; and at tho other eml of the scale Poland, Yugoslavia, Rumania and Bulgaria with an averago of only 2 kilos or loss.
