Boxing circles were startled when ‘‘Bill” Brown, State Boxing Commissioner, after watching Max Baer train, declared that the challenger was in no condition to fight Primo Camera, and that he would urge his fellow commissioners to postpone the bout for at least a month. The Madison Square Garden management declared that Baer always looked bad when training, but always put up a good fight.
