CORNER FOR BUSY BEES.

These hintjß will bo useful to those Cogs who have busily begun to knit. At any rate, tuck them away at the back of your minds for future reference. To Join Wool. Lay tho two wools together, the ends pointing in opposite directions, and knit six or seven stitches with tho double thickness, continuing after with the single thread of new wool'. This applies to fine or two-ply wools. To avoid a double thickness split the two ends, remove half tho strands from each for several inches, and join as described. In both cases darn in the ends. To Work in Colours. When a different colour has to be introduced, join the wool two stitches from where the new colour is to appear. If stripes are to be worked in rows, join the colour two stitches from the end of a row —those two stitches will still be in the first wool, but the. first stitches of the new row will bo in the new wool. (More hints next week.)
