United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright. LONDON, October 27. Professor King, in his inaugural lecture at Leeds University, where he has been appointed to the chair tf textile industries, declared that no synthetic equivalent would ever oust wool.
Bise in Wool Price VALUE TO QUEENSLAND BRISBANE, Oct. 28. The rise in the price of wool, if it is maintained throughout the present season, will give a return, to wool growers of Queensland of £3,000,000 more than they received the preceding season. Approximately 146,000 bales, or about one-third of the current season’s clip, have been sold. The clip averaged slightly more than £2O a bale, compared with £l2 13s last season.
