CAR PASSES 106 MILES PER HOUR.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, October 27. Captain G. Eyston established a world’s record in a Diesel engined car at Brooldands, reaching a speed of 106.64 miles per hour over a distance of ono kilometer. A downpour of jain compelled the use of ordinary tyres.' It is estimated that eight miles an hour higher speed could have been achieved in good weather.
