Progress of Spanish Elections
SWING TO EIGHT LIKELY. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Oct. 26. Tho Daily Telegraph’s Madrid correspondent says that election propaganda ia in full swing, characterised by the usual violence, including knives and stone-throwing. The struggle between the Right ana the Left is certain to be fierce, but there is a strong feeling that the Righ -will considerably augment its strength, as Spain is tired of Socialist extremists and economic disorders which illiterate peasants as well as moderates and politicians attribute to the Azana policy. Uncertainty as to how 6,509,000 women will cast their votes is complicating the issue, as they are quite uneducated politically and yet outnumber the six million male voters.
