Tho recently inaugurated annual rodeo at Madison Square Garden, where tho most vicious horses and cattle are imported for broncho busting and steer dogging, a la Wild West, by volunteer entrants, showed a mounting casualty list with tho death to-day of one cowboy and more or less serious injury to threo cowgirls. “Dock” Lucas died as the result of being thrown from the buck of a bucking steer. He passed away as his parents were rushing to the bedside from Texas, whilo three cowgirls, one suffering from a broken leg, another a broken ankle, and a third internal iniuries from being trampled on by a horse, wore reported to be resti g easily in local hospitals. _ Tho casualties total 17 since opening of the rodeo. Stage and screen stars have volunteered their service for a theatrical benefit
