The Times’ “Spotting” Competition
FOUR DAYS AND NIGHTS OF FUN At short notice the “Manawatu Daily Times” has decided to run another “Spotting Competition," and thanks to the support of the local retailers the competition has been made possible. This is the fourth time such a competition has been run by the “Times,” and judging by the response, it is as popular as ever. With the carnival spirit prevailing, and the town gaily illuminated during show week, the “Spotting Competition” should cause quite a lot of fuii. There is a certain thrill enjoyed by “spotters” in a “spotting competion” when you see competitors bewildered by your success. Yet everyone has the same cliancc. Shop windows are the centre of attraction in this competition. Shop windows are always attractive, but with the chance of winning one of the six prizes, they become more attractive than ever. No entrance fee is necessary—the competition is free to all. Watch for Tuesday’s “Times,” when the competition will be fully explained. Further announcements on Monday.
