Foxton Talkies
Edna May Oliver, whose characters in comedy are becoming famous in the talkie world will bo seen at the Foxton Town Hall to-night, starring in "The Penguin Pool Murder.” Miss Oliver, as ail old maid schoolmistress who solves a murder committed in the New York Aquarium, is a. scream. Her cross talk with James Gleason (himself a master of wit) gives us some of the most amusing dialogue heard in talkies for months. "The. Penguin Pool ALurder" may be aptly described as a crime mystery drama that keeps you bubbling with laughter. Robert Armstrong and Ma 9 Clarke are also in the cast. A full range of short features on to-night’s programme include a Micky McGuire (comedy), Sportlight, cartoon, News and Boby Jones’ golf series, "The Spoon."
