Croquet in Feilding
ST. JOHN’S CLUB OPENING. Visitors were present from the Oroua and Central Clubs at the official opening of St. John’s Croquet Club at Feilding on Wednesday afternoon. A cordial welcome to all was extended by Mrs. H. Smithers (vice-president), who declared the green open. . . Competitions were then indulged in, the winning ladies being: Golf, Mrs. Pearson; take-off, Airs. Smithers; ladder, Mrs. Stockwell. A sumptuous afternoon tea was provided by the members of the club, thus helping to make the afternoon a very pleasant and happy one.
