Mrs W, J". Poison, J.P., o£ Stratford, the Now Zealand founder of the "Women's Division of tho Farmers ’ "Union, journeyed to Feilding to be present at the birthday celebrations of the local branch of that organisation held on Friday afternoon last, at which she spoke interestingly of tho work of the W.D.F.U. During her stay in the district Mrs Poison was the guest , of tho branch president, Mrs J. Williamson, Taonui.
As an effort to aid the candidature of the Public Services’ Queen, Mrs L. Bennett is producing G. B. Shaw’s “Fanny’s First Play,’ 7 at All Saints' parish hall on November 6.
