Bit Finger Off
<*Tim Cummings, the Adelaide trainer, had an unlucky stroke the other morning. Usually he finds his horse, Malt Prince, one of the most' docile in his stable, but, evidently he has developed a propensity for man-eating, as, while Cummings was going over him to see if everything was right after a gallop, the gelding made a. wild snap at his master.
Those standing nearby thought it was just an ordinary playful snap, as most horses are wont to do, but Cummings, by his loud yell, showed that it was a serious bite. He just pulled his hand back quickly, and the top of a finger dropped off, Malt Prince having bitten it right through.
