Delay to the Wanganella
RUDDER DAMAGE MORE SERIOUS THAN FIRST THOUGHT

Some of the damage to the rudder of the Huddart-Parker motor liner Wanganella is more serious than was at first thought. The ship will not be able to sail for Wellington before noon on Monday.
Mishap Occurred While Going To Fuel GROUNDED IN SQUALL. Received Sunday, 11.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 24. The Wanganella's departure for Wcllington has been further postponed till mid-day on Tuesday, It transpires that the ship was going across the harbour to fuel at one of the big oil tanks. She was attended by two tugs as she was not under steam. A heavy squall struck the Wanganella and her rudder touched the ground. When she was docked, the damage was found much moro than had been suspected. The AVanganella will probably not come out of dock before tomorrow night. The story was not known till tonight.
