Alberta Premier Sued For Alleged Seduction
EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER OF FORMER MAYOR.

EDMONTON (Alberta), Sept. 22,
A statement of claim was filed in tho Supreme Court of Alberta to-day asking for unstated damages from the Premier, Mr. J. E. Brownlee, of Alberta, for alleged seduction of Vivian MacMillan, daughter of a former Mayor, Mr. Allan MacMillan, of Edson, Alberta.
The offences arc alleged to have commenced in 1930, when the girl was said to be IS years old. Mr. Brownlee, over the long-distance 'phono from Ottawa, where he is attending as a member of the Canadian Royal Commission on Banking, said: "While one regrets to have to face a case of this kind, it will enable me to come to grips with rumours that have been spread for some weeks. There is not a word of truth in the allegations.’’
