Following arc tbo results from the Hawkesbnry races:— ROWLEY MILE INFLATION, 0.6 (T. Green) .. I Grand Total, 0.7 (Mortimer) .. 2 Princess Cistercian, 7.7 (Cook) 3 The only starters. Cistercian, led for three furlongs and then Inflation took charge and won by fourth lengths, there being one' length between second and third. Time, l.oDi. SPRING HANDICAP LOVE SONG, 5.3 (Pratt) .. „„ 1 Winrose, 8.0 (Hayes) ...... 3 Satmoth, 8.11 (McCarten) .... 3 Eleven starters. Safari was scratched. Lovesong overhauled Winrose and two others in the straight, and lasted long enough to win by three-quarters of a length, the third being a length further away. Time, 2.13. Sastrugi was scratched in the Park Stakes and Bayacre in the Flying Handicap. HIGH WEIGHT WELTER WAIKAEE, 5.12 (McCarten) . 1 Australian Bee, S.G (James) .. 2 Pantilla, 8.4 (Pratt) 3 Nine started. Won. by a head each way. Time, 1.393. Inflation was sore after winning the Rowley Mile and his Epsom prospects are considered just fair. Waikare’s performance in the Welter was good, and he may be a Derby hope. Autopay’s owners say they now have hopes of racing at the Melbourne meeting later, but that the Sydney events are impossible. Cottesmore’s hanging-out proclivities are worrying his connections. He was difficult to control on Saturday, when ridden by the left-handed Sydney jockey, A. Knox, who will probably ride him in (ho Epsom.
