Danelagh’s Fine Performance. Charmainc, who was the chief offender in delaying the start of the President’s Handicap, got away first, while Spoon was left slightly. Ranelagh ran up to the leader with two and a half furlongs gone, and half way across the top turn he was in front, and stayed there to win easily by threequarters of a length from Spoon, who just as easily beat Chrysology for second place two lengths in front of him, while Chrysology had a length advantage over Charmainc, who was done with at the end of six furlongs. Martian- Chief began well, but soon drifted to tho rear and did not come forward for the remainder of tho race.
Ranelagh won the chief events each da.y, and ho also won the double on the second day of the meeting last year. Ho finished, very solidly, and Bert Ellis rode a confident race.
