Manawatu Spring Show
The greatest event of the year associated with agricultural and pastoral pursuits will take place at the Showgrounds. Palmerston North, on November 1,2 and 3 next, this being the -18th Metropolitan Spring Show of the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral AssoctaAs usual extensive classes and liberal prizes have been allocated to all classes of purebred stock and competitive ring events. Special attention has been given to utility classes in the cattle, sheep and pig sections which have now become outstanding and instructive features at Palmerston North, and have greatly assisted in demonstrating the right type of lambs and pigs most suitable for export. Liberal prize money is offered and large entries -are expected. The central position and excellent railway facilities serving Palmerston North make it possible for exhibitors to pen their entries cneaply, expeditiously and safely. Needlework, cookers', modelling, photography and school exhibits have been specially catered for, and a class cari toe found in the schedule for practically any description of exhibit Prospective exhibitors are requested to remember the following closing dates for entries:— ' Saturday, September 30: Machinery and ground space and all school entries. Saturday, October 7: Needlework, home industries, photography and model aeroplanes. Thursday, October 19: Competitions, horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, fleece wool and steer-riding. No entry will be received after those dates.
