ANNUAL REPORT. ■The annual report of the Feilding Anglers’ Club states that the club is to be congratulated on having a membership of 21—17 senior and 4 juniors—considering the difficult year we have passed through. The credit balance now) stands at £7 7s lOd, out of which will: come the expenses of the social and money for the trophies, which will about absorb this amount. Five competitions were held during the season, tho win-i ners in the senior section being Messrs. I Lcgg, E. Ingram, N. Rosoman and P. P. Stevens. The challenge cup for the
aggregate of fish caught in all competitions was won by P. P. Stevens. Tho trophy donated by Mr. F. 11. Stockwcll for the heaviest fish caught, iu or out of competition, was won by Mr. Legg, who weighed in a brown trout -4lbs. J.210z5,, caught on the fly in the Oroua river. Mr. C. Wickham ran the winner very close with a brown trout weighing 41bs, Ulozs., also taken from the Oroua on tho fly. The prize for the heaviest fish for tho juniors was won by It. These competitions are always looked forward to, and members havo had very enjoyable outings with tho various clubs. We trust that during tho corning season some of our younger members will bo able to avail themselves of the opportunity to take part in them. Indications at present seem good for this season. Rivers have been free from heavy floods, and reports to hand state that the streams are well stocked with fish.
