From Our Own Correspondent. The local Social Club’s fortnightly euchre party and. dance wms held last Friday night, the attendance being very good. The ladies’ euchre prizes were won by Mrs. Knight and Miss M. Robinson (runner-up), while the men’s prizes went to Mr. F. Farmer and Mr. Alex Ogllvie (runner-up), Mr. L. H. Ihle was M.C. for the dance, the music for which was rendered in attractive style by. the I usual professional orchestra. As the euchre parties and dances have been so well attended, the social committee has decided, to bring tho orchestra to full strength for the remainder of the season. The local Post Office recently received from the departmental inspector the annual visit of inspection extending over two days. Mr. and Mrs. Parlane and family have returned home after spending part of tho school holidays at Wangaehu and Wanganui.
