Silver Wedding Pleasantly Marked

Mr. and Mrs. Angus Campbell, of Riccarton, Fitzherbert avenue, celebrated their silver wedding on the 19th of this month. They wore married in Christchurch at the Avonsido Presbyterian Church, both then being residents of the Cathedral City. They entertained about 30 of their friends with flag bridge which proved very popular, Mrs. Corbridge, Mrs. Ferguson and Mr. Wm. Clegg carrying off the trophies, Tho guests sat down to a recherche supper, at the conclusion of which a dainty wedding cako was cut, and Mr. Kobcrtson proposed the health of the wedded pair. Mr. Campbell replied in a witty speech, and proposed tho health of his best man and life-long friend, Mr. Phil Bundle, who had travelled from Dunedin for the ceremony. Mr. Bundle suitably responded, and a happy evening ivas closed with, tho singing of “Auld Lang Sync.” Mrs. Campbell received her guests in a model frock of green and black georgette with a jade necklet.
