Mns J. G. Swainson, of Pahiatoa, is visititn-g Wanganui, and is the guest of Mrs. Avery, Hipango Terrace. Miss R. Billens and Misa M. Billens, of Palmerston North, aro holidaying in Wanganui, and are the guests of Mrs. W. G. Bassett, St. John’s Bill. At the Wellington Competitions Society’s festival on Friday Miss IS. Gooding, of Palmerston North, was highly commended in tho section for ladies’ Irish folk song and Miss June Scott in the section for jig (12-16 years).
