The whole of Russia is celebrating Aviation D'ay, tho fifteenth anniversary of the formation of Red Air f orce. The Soviet lias awarded many decorations and charters to workers and directors of industry and military forces. Aircraft arc being exhibited in gardens and parks to the accompaniment of torchlight processions. Several flying schools have been opened and the streets arc decorated with model aeroplanes and posters announcing that, during four years of the first five-year plan, the number of aeroplanes lias increased three-fold and the tonnage five-fold. The air lines cover 22,500 miles. The Air Commissary, Voroshilov, declares Russia intends aerially to outstrip the leading capitalist countries.
