Feilding Plunket Society
SUCCESSFUL BRIDGE AFTERNOON The first of the weekly bridge afternoons organised by Mrs. J. E. Jenkinson (president of the Feilding branch of the Plunket Society) in aid of branch funds took placo on Saturuay in the Plunket rooms. A largo log firo shed a cheery glow over ■ the pretty cream-walled card room that looked most attractive with its soft green curtains and decoration of crimson berries and shaded leaves. The five tables arranged there filled tho room quite comfortably and the players, -who were received oy Mrs. Jenkinson, • spent a thoroughly enjoyable time. The tea tables, which were laden with good things, were given a charming finish by crystal vases of pink passion fruit flower. Mesdames E. Pirani, J. B. Petrie and E. Carter were tho prize winners. Others present were Mesdames Bevington-Jones, A. Porter, Kerr, W. H. McLean, A. M. Bailey, S. A. Parkes, L. Ewen, L. J. Wild, M. E. MeEwen, C. G. C. Dermer, A. J. Kcilow, H. Foster, A. Baker, D. C. Cullinanc and Misses fif. and J. Bailey. _
