Return of “ Cinderella ”

TOGETHER WITH NEW REVUE “THE LAUGH PARADE” It will be with considerable pleasure that the announcement will be read of tho return of the J. C. Williamson company to Palmerston North on Wednesday of this week with their wonderfully successful “Cinderella” pantomime. All those who did sco the show will remember it as a spectacular and most entertaining affair, with all the old-time features that go to make a pantomime so loved by children and grown-ups as' well. Mr. Syd. Beck will again appear in the role of the Dame, and Miss Josic Melville as Cinderella, and tho other notable members of the cast include Miss Miriam Lester as the Prince and Miss Sara Stackpole as Fairy Queen. The performance is enchantingly brilliant and full of variety and should not be missed by those who have not yet seen it.

“Tho Laugh Parade,” Frank Neil’s latest revue, which has been received with more than tho usual enthusiasm in Auckland and Wellington, will be played in tho evening, this being the only opportunity theatre-goers wm have of seeing this lavish revue, which is one of the best that Williamson'S have staged for some considerable time. Tho company has been playing severalrevues during the present tour, and this power to turn out new programmes without loss of charm or freshness is due to the fact that thero is not a weak spot in the company, that they work as a team and possess an inspiring leader. “The Laugh Parade” can be termed a revue dc luxe, the artists in tho ballets being wonderfully costumed. Syd. Beck win be the star comedian, and he is ably supported by a splendid cast including Miriam Lester, Billy Maloney, Maida Jones, Maggie Buckley and Murray and Walton. Tho Five Cleveres, the amazing acrobats from the London Palladium, take an important part in tho programmo, and other turns should bo greatly enjoyed. The box plan for both “Cinderella and “The Laugh Parade” opened at the Central Booking Office on Saturday morning.
