Prom Our Own Correspondent. The weekly euchre was hold in the schoolroom last Friday, a fair number of enthusiasts being present. Mr G. Ncilson won the men’s prizo and Mrs Bownio tko ladies’, while consolations wore carried off by Mrs Eadomski and Mr D. Buchanan. The two Kelvin Grove Old Girls’ basketball teams took part in competition games on Wednesday last. Tho A team defeated Broadway 15-6, whilo the B’s lost to Convent 21-4. Tho Club intends holding a dance in the Milson Hall on Thursday next, and_ indications arc for a successful evening. Tho Springboks’ football team put up a hard fight againts Kia Toa on Saturday, but wore defoated 3-nil. Tho Kelvin Grove A ping-pong team is now equal with Kairanga in the competition with ten points, whilo tho B' grade team is ninth. The A’s proved superior to Takaro A in a match held last week, defeating their visitors by 27 games to 9. Detailed results arc as follow, local players being mentioned first:— . R. Buchanan beat E.
