Tho Oddfellows held a card party and dance evening on Thursday. Cards were played until supper time. The winners wore; Euchre, iviiss Schmidt and Mr. Ross Elliott. Bridge, Mrs. C. Buclunan and Mr. 1). Kearney. Tho music lor dancing was supplied by several local young meu who have formed an orchestra. . The Apiti Co-op. Dairy Company paid out sixpence per lb. for butter-fat supplied last month. ‘ On Saturday tho Wairakei Rifle Club team from Kangiwahia visited the Apiti range for a shooting match against the local club. Apiti A, was played in Apiti and witnessed by a large number of enthusiasts from various parts of tho district. The game was a fairly even one, the forwards with few exceptions dominating the play. Jensen have returned home from a motoring holiday in the Wairarapa and Wellington. On Monday Mcsdames R. V. Stewart, j. Jensen, A. Prince, A. Dobson and W. M. Duncan motored to Bulls, and spent a very enjoyable afternoon as guests of the Women’s Institute at their monthly meeting.
