“The Creation”
The presentation of this great oir.torio on Tuesday, July 4, at the Opera House is creating considerable interest among music lovers. The soloists, Miss Myra Sawyer (soprano), Mr. Edwin Dennis (tenor), and Mr. Ernest Short (bass), all of Wellington, have many difficult arias to which they will be able to do full justice, whilst the chorus work as usual will be of a hign standard. To make the evening's entertainment even more interesting the orchestra of 20 players will contribute three orchestral items. The conductor is Mr. J. Holmes Ivunniclcs, and the whole proceeds go to the relief committee. The tickets arc now available and the box plan will open on Friday next at 10 a.m.
