The death is announced from Wanganui of Mr. John Galt Dickio, aged 94. He was the oldest settler in the Waverley district aud was a Maori War veteran. Ho was the father of Mr. H. G. Dickie, M.P. At a meeting of the Manaawlu subcommittee of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society on Saturday night a vote of sympathy iu his illness was accorded Mr. W. H. Hosking, a member of the committee.
