MR. JONATHAN HOLDEN Not only in Hawke’s Bay but also in Manawatu, will widespread regret be felt at the death of Mr. Jonathan Holden which occurred yestorday at his residence at Makotulcu. Deceased was a successful farmer and breeder of many years standing and had farmed his property at Makotuku for 30 years or more. Ho also supported A. and P. shows of the Manawatu and Hawko’s Bay magnificently with stock exhibits and won countless prizes and championship ribbons. In- his younger days Mr. Holden took an active part in public affairs, being a member of the Danncvirke Hospital Board for 16 consecutive years and was on the North Ruataniwha Road Board before it became the Waipawa county. The Dannevirke Racing Club also honoured him as its patron and the Manawatu A. and P.
