Tlie 1 role of an international diplomat, engaged in a life and death struggle for tho future of his country, fits Baxter like the proverbial glove, and he is equally strong in the romantic scenes ' with Miriam Jordon, a newcomer to
films from the London and Broadway stages. Miss Jordon has beauty and personality and certainly looks to be the “discovery" she has been hailed. Strong supporting roles are capably handled by John Boles, George Marion, Beryl -Mercer and Irene Ware. The direction, by William Dieterle, is unusually line, and the photography by John Seitz is a real contribution.
