"The Creation”
Tlio Palmerston North City Choir, conductor Mr. J. Ilolmos Kunnicles, is making considerable progress in their rehearsals of Hayan's “The Creation," which will bo presented at tho Opera House on Tuesday, July 4, in aid ot the relief funds. The soloists are all well-known Wellington singers, namely, Miss Myra Sawyer (soprano), Mr. Edwin Dennis (tenor) and Mr. Ernest Short (bass). As the presentation of the oratorio will occupy approximately one and a half hours the promoters have arranged for the orchestra of 20 players to contribute three numbers. This w T ill lend variety to the programme and bo an additional attraction thereby. Tickets are procurable from any member of the chorus.
