Spivakovsky-Kurtz Concert

BOX PLANS NOW OPEN Plans are now open at tlio Central Booking Ofiico for the concert to be given next Tuesday evening in the Opera House by the world-famous Gpivakovsky-Kurtz trio of instrumentalists. This combination is not a trio in the ordinary acceptance of the term, but a union of three famous soloists, each of whom has au established reputation throughout Europe. Tho players came together at the request of the leading lirrn of entrepreneurs in Berlin, who were anxious to securo a lirstclass trio to replace tho disbanded Thibaud-Cortot-Casals combination. Tho lirst season was an experimental ono in Holland, and was immediately successful, leading to bookings throughout Germany and other Continental countries. The critic of the Berliner Tageblatt hailed the new trio as “a very notablo acquisition to the musical life of Europe. How well deserved was the enthusiasm which they aroused. One does not know which to praise more, their brilliant technique or their amazing depth of musical leeling. Each is a master of his instrument, and what a master!” Tho programme to be presented hero will include the Tsekaikovsky Trio in C minor and groups of solos by each artist.
