To-day's Rugby

TWO SENIOR MATCHES AT SHOWGROUNDS UNITED MEET F. 0.8. With two important senior matches for decision on the Showgrounds oval. Rugby enthusiasts are promised some good football to-day. St. Patrick o meet Palmerston North Old Boys in the first game, while the competition leaders, Feilding Old Boys, will be required to give of their best if they are to take the honours in the match with United. The four teams engaged are fast and they play open football, so that the spectators should get great value for their money. In their firstround clash St. Patrick’s accounted for Old Boys, but the latter team has made wonderful progress since, this assertion being borne out by then slashing victory over Kia Ton last Saturday. In :the other game Feilding Old Boys can be depended upon to make every effort to beat United, but United has welded into a strong team, and it is quite on the cards that they will upset the visiting team. Kia Toa play Feilding at Feilding, and should win, but the wearers of the yellow jerseys have surprised the fans more than once. The three scnioi games sot down for to-day are particularly interesting .ones, and if: United and Kia Toa secure victories there will be three teams on the top rung of the ladder.
