Musical ad Dramatic Entertainment

A splendid programme lias been prepared for the musical and dramatic entertainment to bo given by the Girls’ High School at the Opera House on July 20 and 21. “The Biddle," a play - ette by Walter Baleigh, will be produced by Miss Eraser, while ‘ ‘Fat King Melon,” by A. P. Herbert, is in the hands of Misses Peglar andßirnic, who make their debut as producers. Songs and ballets are introduced throughout the plays, and a special feature is being made of the dressing. The ballets arc in the competent hands of Miss Benstead. The school singing classes under Mr Watters will give items, and School will bo assisted by prominent old girls, tho Misses Edwards (Highland dancing), Jean Scott (toe dance), C. and V. Wood and M. Muirhead instrumental trio), and E. Wycherley (’cello). Misses Edna Boon, Jean Keid and a party of old girls will give a balclt, specialy prepared by Miss Gwen Gibbs. Incidental music is in the competent hands of Mrs Barlow (piano) and the Misses McLeod, B. Oakley, and J. Findlay (violins). Altogether a programme of outstanding excellence is being presented, and a very largo attendance should be assured.
