St Paul’s Church Ladies’ Guild Meeting
The monthly meeting of the above society rvas held on Thursday afternoon in the Church parlour. Tho president, Mrs. Scotter, opened the meeting with prayer. The secretary, Mrs. Barnett, presented tho reports and. matters of interest were discussed, special mention being rnado of visits paid by members of tho visiting committee. At tho request of tho Mayoress (Mrs. A. it. Mansford) tho Guild had made Bit) white roses for Mothers’ Day. In response to tho Mayor’s appeal through the Council of Christian Congregations for garments, etc., for the relief work, 102 garments had been donated at the last meeting. In connection with this appeal an extra Guild meeting is being held fortnightly for sewing. Arrangements wero made for the forthcoming Church anniversary tea to bo held during tho month of July. Tho meeting closed with prayer and the Benediction.
