The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following advice from its London house, dated June 14: —‘‘Butter: New Zealand choicest salted, 82s per cwt. Market slow. Danish, 92s per cwt. Cheese: White, 4Ss to 49s per cwt; coloured, 53s to 54s per cwt. Market slow. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received from their principals, Trcngrouso and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated June 15: —“New Zealand butter, 81s per cwt; New Zealand cheese, white 48s Gd per cwt, coloured 545. Both markets quiet but steady." Advance in Sheepskins and Hides SEEN COMPETITION AT WELLINGTON SALES WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Wellington skin and hide sales to-day were largely attended and competition was keen. Sheepskins advanced by 3d to 4d per lb; salted skins, 3d to Gd. per skin; cowhides, Id to 5-Sd up; light ox, 2d up; medium, 2d to 5-8 d up; heavy, 2d to -3d up, for hides showing substance.
