Leaders Swept into Dolfuss Net STRONG CURB ON CROWDS United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Received Friday, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, Jutio .16. The Daily Telegraph’s Vienna correspondent says an act of sabotage attributed to Nazi terrorists occurred on Wednesday night. Acting on expert knowledge the perpetrators chose a spot on a little-used road and dug down and severed the underground cables connecting Austria with neighbouring countries. Thirty-four telephone call boxes were also wrecked. It is now announced that 1179 Austrian Nazi leaders have been arrested, including 357 .State officials, 52 State teachers, 37 gendarmerie officers, 61 railway officials, 81 mayors and 37 lawyers and judges. Fifteen German agents have been deported. Vienna is relieved that Corpus Christi holiday passed without incident. Fearing a Nazi demonstration hundreds of plain clothes police mingled with tho crowds. Their officers for tho first timo since the war wore old Imperial uniforms in preference to German field grey.
Dolfuss Gets a Loan £10,000,000 FOR AUSTRIA INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR LONDON, Juno 10. Dr. Dollfuss, Chancellor of Austria, who expects to reach Vienna on Sunday, via Paris, by air, has secured a £10,000,000 loan authorised at Lausanne. The date of issue has yet to be fixed. The subscribers aro England, France and Italy. France, whoso share is the largest, delayed the loan because tho French Socialists resented tho treatment of Socialists in Austria.
