The council’s positiou at tho bank was that it had a credit balance in the county fund account clover £3OOO. The council was certainly in a very healthy position. Tho county clerk (Mr, W. L. Hesseltine) stated that the council had still to Teceive certain highways subsidies as well as refunds on account of benzine tax. He anticipated that the council would finish the year with a credit balance of £3OOO. Cr. W. H. Hair expressed himself as being very pleased with the position and hoped that the council would not “go wild” since it was in such a happy position.
