Feilding Magistrate’s Court

MOTOR TRAFFIC BREACHES The quasi criminal list dealt with at yesterday’s sitting of tho Feilding Magistrate’s Court related to offenders under the motor vehiclo regulations. Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., presided. On a charge of negligently driving a motor car, Ivingi Tupo was fined 20s and costs 21s. Like penalties were imposed under a further charge which set out that Tupc failed to stop his car when it became involved in an accident with another car. A fine of 20s and 12s costs was imposed on Francis A. Gibbs who was found driving a motor car without having in his possession a driver’s license. On a further chargo of failing to keep to tho left-centre of the line on the Manawatu Gorge road he was fined 30s and 12s costs.

David Wright was fined 20s and 10s costs for failing to take out a motor driver’s license.

Cumberland Cane, who drove a motor lorry without taking out a heavy traffic license, was fined £5 and costs 10s. The following were dealt with for failing to keep to the left-centre of the white line on the Manawatu Gorge road:—Robert de Clcene, fined 20s and 14s casts; Arthur Wm. Akers, Alfred E. Glading, Wm. Ed. Jones, Ed. McGill, each fined 30s and costs; Arthur Swain, fined 40s and costs. Defended Action. Arising out of a recent motor car collision which occurred at the intersection of Kimbolton road and Manchester street, Maxwell Stewart was charged with negligently driving a motor ear, and Mavis V. A. Osborne was charged with failing to give way to traffic approaching on the right. The informations were defended and after hearing the evidence tho Magistrate reserved decision in both cases.
