Community Sing
(To the Editor.) Sir, —The Garrison Band, to help their finances, have arranged another of their popular community’ sings at the Opera House on Thursday evening. The well-known community sing artists, Messrs Owen Pritchard and Frank Crowther, of Wellington, will be here, and Miss Gwen Gibbs has arranged to give two dance items by her talented pupils. Mr. A. J. W. Hodder and Miss F. Chalk, of Levin, will also contribute items. The usual chargo of Is is being made. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the Garrison Band will play items from 7.30 to 8 p.m. The band is in need of assistance and it is hoped that the theatre will be filled with patrons. —I am, etc., J.
