Per Press Association WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tho Wellington Bowing Association’s application for permission to fix the distance for the inter-provincial eight-oared race ajt two miles, was considered. by the council of the New Zealand Amateur Bowing Association. Tht council decided to inform tho association that the rules for the contest were definitely set out and the distance must bo three miles whenever practicable and nob less than two miles and tha rules must be observed. It was reported that an inquiry had been received from Wanganui whether any one province could enter two crews in an eight-oared race. The secretary (Mr. A. I). Bayfield) said it was understood in addition to tho Wanganui Union crew which was selected to represent the province the Aramoho Club eight desired to compete. It was stated that the local association had no objection to this proposal. The council decided that so long a.? both crews were' entered by an association there was no reason why they should not compete-
