Fatal Fall From Horse
IN SAD CIRCUMSTANCES. Per Press Association WHANGAEEI, Mar. 13. Mrs Edgar Clements, one of the oldest settlers of Matapouri, was killed on Saturday, which was her sixty-sec-ond birthday. She and her husband had been out riding and she was about to dismount in the yard at home when the gale blew a kerosene tin below her horse, which plunged. Mrs Clements was thrown off and received a fracture of tho base of tho skull from which she died.
