Taihape Ewe Fair

Messrs . Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., port having held their ewe fair at Taihape on Wednesday, March 8, when a yarding of 12,000 ewes camo to hand. There was a very representative attendance of buyers from Manawatu, Foilding, West Coast and Main Trunk centres. Prices were inclined to bo easier owing to the lateness of the season, but there was quito a good demand right throughout the sale, and out of the total yarding only four lines were passed in. The quality of the bulk of the ewes yarded was good and some very nice lines of two-tooth to five-year-old ewes were yarded by the following vendors:— Erowhon Station: 1050 Syr. ewes, high-country sheep, realised os sd; .T. Stoddart, 200 4yr ewes, 11s; J. McCartin, 130 at 10s and 130 at 9s Dd for a good line of 4yr ewes; E. Garnionsway, 175 4yr ewes at 9s 8d; Estate W.
