ATTEMPT TO SUPERSEDE LEAGUE OF NATIONS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Received Sunday, 10.30’ p.m. TOKYO, Jan. 28. A meeting of many distinguished soldiers, diplomats, peers, politicians and scholars discussed the need for the formation of an alternative to the League of Nations, which they declared had proved incompetent to settle international disputes. Internationalism, it was contended, must be in groups— European, Asiatic, American ancl Soviet.. The projected Asiatic League will be inaugurated at a PanAsiatic Conference, probably in April.
