PHILLIPS IN GREAT FORM Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. A series of spectacular falls caused excitement at the Western Spring,-: speedway last evening. Only ono of the Crashes proved serious, two riders being hurt. The teams racing between sides captained by E. Langton and W. Phillips resulted in a win for Phillips' team by 10 points to seven. The teams events showed tho overseas riders to tho greatest advantage, the skilled broadsiders working together with remarkable precision. Phillips, the holdor of the gold helmet, was challenged by N. Key, but retained his title without difficulty. He also made tho fastest time of the evening, 3 min 16 2-ssec, and won six events.
