INTERMEDIATE AND JUNIOR EVENTS Per Press Association INVERCARGILL, Last Night. The Now Zealand intermediate and junior swimming championship meoting was brought to a conclusion on Saturday evening before a record attendance. Auckland turned out to be tho winners of tho War Memorial Shield. Tine points were:—Auckland 7, Otago 6, Manawatu 1. Crump (Auckland) broke his own record in the 220 yards intermediate boys’ freestyle, lowering it from 2min. 34siec. to 2min. 28sec. At a supper held afterwards all the trophies and medals were presented to the Winners. This is the first occasion on which this has been done and the northern officials paid tribute to the Southland contro for tho initiative and foresight which made it possible.
