MANAWATU CHAMPIONSHIPS. Further matches in the Manawatu Association’s championships wero played on Saturday. In the semi-final of the men’s singles, Hankin beat Wehipeiliana, 6—4, 6—3, and Brown beat Boddy, 6—5, 6—l. The final will be played during the week. In the remaining semi-final of the handicap singles, Brown (scr.) beat Wehipeiliana (4), 50—21. In the final Brown beat Cowley (27), 50—46.
