The passengers by the Windhover amphibian aeroplane forced' down in Bass Strait through oil feed trouble had an unenviable experience and suffered severely from cramp and seasickness when they crawled into the tail to keep the machine from nose-divir.g, while the pilot, Captain Neale, taxied 25 miles to shore. Here another airman, camped there, semaphored how to negotiate the shoals.
