Party for a Woodville Bride-to-be
In the pretty grounds of Mrs. J. A. Viokers, Ormond street, Woodville, a very jolly afternoon was held on Wednesday in honour of Miss Esther Worboys, whose wedding day is approaching. About fifty guests, all friends of tho bride-to-be, spoilt a happy time in games and competitions. Afternoon tea was enjoyed under the trees, after which Mis 3 Worboys was presented with a charming rose bouquet made up of handkerchiefs, ribbons, shinglo cap and lavender sachets. Assisted by Miss Strand, who is to* be her bridesmaid, she unwrapped all tho useful gifts thoughtfully provided by her friends. Musical honours were then accorded tho guest of honour. Sevioral items contributed further towards tho pleasure of tho afternoon, these including a recitation, “When tho Minister Comes to Tea,” by Mrs. F. Slioarman.
