Train Derailed When Axle Breaks
ACCIDENT ON MAIN TRUNK LINE Per Press Association TAUMARUNUI, Last Night. A mixed goods and passenger train which reaches Taumarunui at 1 p.m. from the north, met wath a mishap at midday near Ongaruo when an axle of a coal truck broke and the truck jumped the rails. Eight passengers were aboard but none was injured. They word brought to Taumarunui later by special train. The line was cleared in two hours.
